Humility of Hanuman

This is the story of a Superhero, whose simplicity, love and potential superpowers are beyond words. This is the story of Mr Hanuman who is a deity in Hindu Mythology, kinda relatable to monkey king, but a true devotee of Mr Ram, who is another god in Hindu Mythology. In the mythology there is immense love depicted between these 2 characters in Mythology n kinda selfless love saying just to add pinch of detail to the story.
In hindu Mythology Lord Ram is a being with great character and discipline and a follower of his principles no matter what. Along with this character Lord Ram possesses a great trait which is of love with simplicity. Hanuman again like lord Ram is a deity having immense truthfulness and possessing super powers such as super strength and all superhero qualities of all superheroes you know except that he can’t sling webs like Spiderman. ;-)
Anyways let me get back to the story, this story is after a war won by Lord Ram, against Mr Ravana in Sri Lanka. (For Whole Mythology well you can study Ramayana or I will make a short story around the whole Ramayana in time.) After the war was won, Ram came back to his kingdom with all the brave soldiers, monkey troops and Hanuman. After all the celebrations of war were done Ram was made the king of the kingdom. Because of Lord Ram’s immense love the troops decided to stay with him and help him improving kingdom and become part of the same.
Lord Ram decided to assign roles and responsibilities to these troops as per their wishes, interests, roles and capabilities. Everyone of these troops took the roles which they liked, some took it as per their interest, some took it as per the high status of ranks, and some took it as per the capabilities they possessed.
Now came the turn of Hanuman, this being had huge knowledge, huge strength and huge potential to serve the highest rank under Lord Ram, kinda right Hand of Lord Ram. So when Ram asked, tell me my dearest friend which role you would want..
…..Sssshhhh….. Wind blew, this much silence was in the kingdom, because everyone wanted to know which role Hanuman will opt for. As soon as Hanuman said he would want a role of swatting flies around Lord Ram with his tail, everyone got curious about the role of swatting flies done by this huge potential guy, isn’t it crazy. Till the time everyone was wondering Ram agreed to this with a smile.
On one side, For a few months everyone used to visit Lord Ram to enjoy his divine company, but sooner everyone became busy with their own bits and their interaction with Lord Rama decreased.
On the other side, there was Hanuman who was immensely busy in doing his job , of swatting flies, everytime anyone used to look at him, found a divine smile on his face doing his job. So one day someone asked, how come you are so Happy Lord Hanuman, you seem to truly enjoy your work.
To this statement Lord Hanuman said that it is not his work which gives him happiness, it is the closeness and divine presence of Lord Ram which he enjoys, during his work that gives him, his cheerful and wide smile.
Saying this Mr Hanuman again got lost in his job of swatting flies.
With this we come to the end of the story I know its kinda short but it teaches us a great value of humility,i.e the Humility of Hanuman in choosing the Job and then doing it with love.
Almost most of the troop members took job looking roles, and doing what looks good in terms of interest or ranks, but it was Hanuman who chose to do a meek job but and enjoyed the same.
Moral: The sweetness in life always doesn’t come by working at a high responsible post, sometimes it comes by staying humble at a low post, learning from people and enjoying a divine presence of happiness and simplicity in life.
